The Art curriculum aims to encourage and engage students in a variety of topics exploring a wide range of media and materials throughout the year. The course aims to inspire students to explore new techniques and gain knowledge of a wide range of Artists' work. They will learn how artists and designers have inspired each other and how Art can reflect the History of a time or era. They will become proficient in drawing, painting, collage, sculpting and other art, craft and design techniques.
Students should be able to produce creative work and develop their own ideas inspired by the work of other artists and designers. Students learn how to analyse and evaluate the work of others and how history, culture and environment can impact upon Artists' movements and Ideas.
