The Griffin HT1 from 60 Squadron Defence Helicopter Flying School (DHFS) at RAF Shawbury was on a training mission and dropped in as part of their continual training. Students from a local primary schools were given tours of the helicopter, with ten students from each of Years 8, 9 and 10 allowed a visit the aircraft up close.
The visit was very much enjoyed by everyone. Thank you to 60 Squadron and the Armed Forces Careers Office’s in Manchester and Liverpool in particular Sgt. Stu Turner for the visit and to GMF&RS (Moss Side (S13) for their role in supporting the event.
