This initiative was specifically aimed at students who are approaching the end of formal education and may be considering a career in the Armed Forces.
The students had the opportunity to speak with RAF personnel from various Trade Groups and also discuss RAF Careers with recruiting staff, without any obligation. Our students had a look at some of the ‘life support’ functions on a busy RAF station, including an accommodation block and some of their sports and fitness facilities, they also had the opportunity to view aircraft from 100 Sqn and a Chinook helicopter from 18 Sqn.
Many thanks to Royal Air Force Leeming and to Squadron Leaders Brian Ramsey and Jayne Lindley for organising the event, and to Marina Bowden for organising the students.
