Emmanuel Nnadede, Support for Learning Assistant stated, “Having had the opportunity to accompany some Manchester Academy students to the Holcombe Training Camp, I was impressed by their dedication, focus and general attitude.
In my opinion, our cadets displayed outstanding behaviour which led to the other students wanting to step up their game. It was good to see the cadets thriving in a different environment which they felt they belonged to, even though there were strict rules and regulations to adhere to.
The students took part in various activities which included, First Aid training, map and compass, ‘basha’ (shelter) building, cooking in the field, riffle training and camouflage face painting. The students were very enthusiastic during all aspects of the training”.
Many thanks to the Support for Learning Assistants (SFLAs), Emmanuel and Cherise Morgan who supported the students over the weekend and to our Executive Principal, Dr Anthony Edkins, who also attended to support our students.
