A group of our Year 10 students took part cognitive-thinking workshops as part of our Arch Business Mentoring Scheme this week.
Arch Insurance - an international insurance broker company that turns over millions each year - are partnering with Manchester Academy for the second year after last year's success with current Year 11s.
The students are assigned a mentor from the business and meet one to one on a monthly basis with them to discuss future goals and career aspirations and steps on how to get there.
This week's visit was an opportunity for all the mentors and mentees to gather together at the Arch Manchester office based in Deansgate (one of 11 across the U.K.) for a taste of life in the corporate world!
Students were given a tour of their newly built open plan offices, and took part in group cognitive-thinking workshops. They also heard from leaders within the insurance field who discussed their journey from school to where they are now.
Assistant Vice Principal Mrs Boateng said: "They absolutely loved it and engaged really well in each session, they were an absolute credit to their families and the Academy."
They have two more one-to-one sessions left before they have their graduation from the programme at the end of this academic year.
