What is Magic Breakfast?
At Manchester Academy, we believe the old saying that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. By offering a free breakfast to all students, every morning, we ensure our students get the fuel they need to focus, learn, and thrive.
The Benefits of Breakfast
Did you know that millions of children and young people start their day without breakfast. Research conducted by the University of Leeds found that secondary school students who regularly have breakfast can achieve 2 GCSE grades higher than their peers who do not. (Education Endowment Foundation – Nov. 2016)
What’s On Offer
Magic Breakfast ensures our students start their day the right way! With the fuel they need to tackle their most important lessons at school. Students have a choice of:

Breakfast Every School Day!
We want to encourage all students to attend Magic Breakfast each morning at Manchester Academy. From 8:00am to 8:25am, the club offers a space for students to relax and socialise before the school day.
Vice Principle, Mrs McMullen said: “Breakfast helps our students concentrate and be ready for learning throughout the day. A hungry student cannot concentrate, so could miss out on half a day of learning every school day.”
