Say Cheese! Academy Students Get Creative with the Camera
Manchester Academy’s creatives are buzzing with the arrival of the new GCSE Photography course. This term, students are learning how to use professional digital cameras and how to edit images in Adobe Photoshop.
An Exciting Outing
At the beginning of the term, students enjoyed an introductory lesson where they photographed local nature and wildlife.
As their knowledge and experience progressed. The new photography students had an exciting opportunity to participate in a walking tour of Manchester where they explored the theme of 'city life.'
Students were tasked with taking images of buildings, streets, people, and transport to document their own interpretation of life in the urban environment.
Encouraging Creative Futures
Photography Teacher, Mr Fitton said: “The students had a fantastic day developing their camera skills! They took hundreds of photographs, and everyone enjoyed the experience.”
The GCSE students are looking forward to developing their skills further. They will work to produce beautiful and meaningful photographic work and build their portfolios.
