Manchester Academy's Year 11 students celebrated collecting their GCSE grades this morning
Our Year 11 students at Manchester Academy are celebrating their amazing achievements today after collecting their GCSE results.
Many are planning to continue their studies in Further Education and were excited to receive the grades they needed to move on to colleges including Loreto, Xaverian and Manchester College.
They received their qualifications in the Main Hall, before sharing their news with family and friends.
The Academy’s highest performing student Hadia Latif Zaidi achieved 9 grades in all 11 subjects.

Adam Mahmoud Jamia was among those celebrating and he’s looking forward to starting at Loreto College where he will study A Levels in Biology, Chemistry and Philosophy.
"I'm so happy with my results", he said, and was delighted that all his hard work had paid off.

Throughout the morning, staff were on hand to congratulate students and offer them advice about next steps for their college and future plans.
Manchester Academy Principal James Eldon said he was proud to celebrate our amazing class of 2022’s examination results.
"We are really proud of Year 11 students for overcoming the disruption they have faced during Key Stage 4 to achieve some fantastic results. So many have done so well, from those achieving grade 9s, one student got 11!, to students that found exams particularly challenging and worked so hard to achieve what they needed to progress to their chosen destinations."
The Academy also wants to recognise impressive subject performance, including the massive shift in results for some of our EBACC subjects, which have seen real transformation in the last couple of years.
We know our students will go on to do great things and continue to make us proud.
