We welcomed primary students for a day of fun activities to get ready to start Manchester Academy
Our New Year 7s had a fantastic time at Easter School on 5th April.
They took part in a range of fun activities including designing Easter eggs in Business Studies with Ms Mustafa and making a parachute to catch an egg in Science with Mr Khan.
They also played Easter games with Mr Dugdale, our Manchester United Foundation School Partnership Officer, and took part in an Easter Egg hunt with Mr Moreton to get to know their way around our school.
Plus, they made Easter cupcakes in Food Technology with Mr Stapleton and Miss Passey, and programmed a Spike Prime Robot, learnt to fly a drone and competed in Retro Gaming Arcadia in Robotics with Ms Rashid and our Year 10 student helpers.
Student Sze said the day had been brilliant and he loved his day here!
Another student said she enjoyed the cooking session and had made a lot of new friends already. She said the teachers were very nice and helpful and she’s looking forward to starting here in September.
Our Assistant Vice Principal Ms Trivedi said: “It was great to see so many smiling faces at Easter School. The feedback from everyone who attended has been really positive, and the Robotics sessions and Easter Egg hunt went down particularly well.”
We’re glad everyone had a brilliant day!
