We were thrilled to see such a fantastic turnout for our annual Open Evening on 28th September – as Year 6 families get ready to apply for a place to start in September 2024.
There was a great buzz around the Academy as more than 80 families took part in various subject activities with our teachers to get a taste of life as a Manchester Academy student.
Among the highlights were live chemistry and physics experiments with Ms Evans and her team in Science, flying drones with Ms Rashid, cake decorating with Mrs Stack and an inflatable penalty shootout with Manchester United Foundation. They also had chance to meet our Senior Leaders plus experience a tour around our facilities.
Principal Mr Eldon delivered his presentation to a packed hall. He said afterwards:
“It was great to see such an excellent turnout for our Open Evening. It was wonderful to meet so many children from our local primary schools and their Parents/Carers and find out more about their child’s future as a potential Manchester Academy student.
“We are privileged to spend time talking about the support we can offer, and we can’t wait to meet many of them again following National Offer Day early next year.”

This is a fantastic opportunity for families to familiarise themselves with the Manchester Academy building and meet our staff.
