A group of our Year 10s were given an exclusive audience with the man who could potentially be country’s next Prime Minister
Students were invited to the offices of the Manchester Evening News (MEN) for the opportunity to pose questions to the leader of the Labour Party, Sir Keir Starmer.
Surrounded by journalists, they confidently quizzed Sir Keir on a wide range of topics that included everything from the cost of living and school funding, to plans to tackle knife crime and how he copes with stress.
The Labour leader answered each question, following up by asking them their views and promising to take away their suggestions and feedback as he plans for possible future government policies.
He urged the group of young people to ‘put their fingerprints on the future’, while congratulating our students on their aspirations to make a difference.
A full report of the Q&A can be found on the MEN’s website here.
