New Year 7 students become official members of Manchester Academy after an incredible first day
Today marked a thrilling new chapter for our Year 7 students as they returned to school after the summer holidays, eager to begin their secondary school journey. Their first day was filled with a range of engaging lessons, friendly faces, and positive energy as they settled into their new surroundings.
Many students arrived with confidence, having already formed friendships during our successful summer school programme. This early bonding helped create a welcoming and supportive atmosphere throughout the day and students quickly connected over shared experiences and new learning opportunities!
A Warm Academy Welcome
The day began with a warm welcome assembly, where students were introduced to key staff and given an overview of the exciting year ahead. From there, they participated in a variety of lessons, ranging from science and mathematics to the arts, which sparked curiosity and enthusiasm for the subjects they will explore throughout the year.
Principal Mr. Eldon said: “Our Year 7 students have made an excellent start. Their enthusiasm for learning and friendship is a wonderful foundation for success. We’re excited to see them make Manchester magic.”
Fuelling Bright Futures
Supported by our strong school community, we hope our Year 7 students continue to thrive. We’re incredibly proud of what our Year 11 students achieved this GCSE Results Day. Their resilience and determination to learn was outstanding. We hope our new Year 7 feel as inspired by them as we do! Welcome Year 7, we’re delighted to see your positive start!
