Making Manchester Magic at Summer School

Making Manchester Magic at Summer School

Published on 23 August 2024

We’re delighted to welcome back our new Year 7 students for another fantastic Summer School

The Benefits of Summer School

Summer School allows new Year 7 students the opportunity to take part in activities, meet new friends, and become familiar with the school before their first day in September. Our magic teachers worked hard to plan an exciting week, with team-building activities and school trips, the students never had a dull moment!

What Happened?

Over the week, our new students got stuck into a range of fun activities including:

  • Team-building sports challenges
  • Funky dance lessons
  • Tasty cooking classes
  • Trip to the national football museum

Highlight Of the Week

One of the highlights of the week was the graduation ceremony where our summer school students received a certificate of attendance! Proud parents were able to attend the event and cheer as our summer school graduates performed the dance routine they’d been learning throughout the week.

Head of Transition, Mrs Maybury said: “The student’s behaviour this week has been brilliant! Their energy and enthusiasm to participate with the activities is always nice to see. I’ve enjoyed getting to know them more since our first meeting. It’s been an amazing week for everyone involved.”

Wrapping Up

As September draws closer, we would like to remind all our students to prepare themselves for the new academic year. It’s time to get organised!

  • Make space to study and clean your bedroom
  • Always look your smartest and get your uniform ready
  • Prepare yourself and gather your notebooks/equipment

This is a fresh start and an opportunity to Make Manchester Magic once again. We can’t wait to welcome you all back in September.
