Students were introduced to the laws in property by solicitors who specialise in this area. They took part in a ‘sorting game’, where they had to match the definitions to such legal terms as ‘covenant’ and ‘easement’ which proved very interesting. They were helped by trainee solicitors and undergraduates who are on their vacation scheme (work placement) with DWF.
The students were then treated to a sumptuous lunch in one of DWF’s boardrooms.
In the afternoon, the students learnt all about employment law from an employment law specialist. They were then asked to take part in a simulation where they had to be an employer and come up with what they would and would not want their ‘employees’ to do.
Thank you to all the staff at DWF for their time and expertise in working with our students today. We look forward to our final session in July.
