RAF Santa Helicopter Visit

Published on 20 December 2011

On the last day of the autumn term, Friday, 16th December, Manchester Academy welcomed back Father Christmas on his brief stopover before he visited the local hospitals.

He arrived via helicopter in the sports field on a specially commissioned Royal Air Force sleigh. Upon arrival, he was welcomed by Mr Bromfield (the Principal) and Mr Strickland (the Engagement Officer).

He then proceeded to meet a group of our Year 7 students accompanied by their teachers.

Alice Gregor, a reporter from BBC Radio Manchester was also on hand to interview Father Christmas as well as some of the students.
