Samuel Remi, Hibaq Nur, Ali Murphy, Najma Mohamed, Donovan Patterson and Shahid Shabbir were part of the Young Media Academy, who had the role of gathering coverage and interviewed athletes and coaches to share on the online media website, Makewaves.
The team had exclusive access to cover athletics, wheelchair basketball and table tennis throughout the day, where they witnessed hundreds of athletes compete at one of the most prestigious sports events for young people in the UK.
The Sainsbury's School Games, developed and organised by the Youth Sport Trust and sponsored by Sport England is a multi-sport event for the UK's elite young athletes of school age. This year, it was held in Manchester (4th – 7th September, 2014) where our students did a fantastic job reporting at the games.
