A group of Year 11 Travel & Tourism students recently visited the Manchester Museum to assess customer services in the tourism industry.

As part of the Year 8 module on the rainforest, the Humanities department held a Rainforest Roadshow on Wednesday 20^th November.

On the evening of Thursday, 21^st November, the Year 9 netball team beat Whalley Range High School, 10 – 2.

On Tuesday, 12^th November, the Year 10 netball team played their first fixture in their brand new netball kits, against a very strong sided East Manchester Academy team.

On Wednesday, 23^rd October 2013, ten Year 9 students were invited to compete in the annual TeenTech event held at the University of Manchester, where they competed with over 60 secondary schools across the North West region of England.

On Friday, 25^th October 2013, staff from the Football Education Training Academy (FETA) visited students and staff at Manchester Academy to nurture the academy’s next star in football.

The ACF (Army Cadet Force) led the commemorations of Armistice Day by parading in their full uniform on the school playground.

Well done to the Year 7 student, Chloe Napier who finished as a runner-up in Operation Treacle.
