On Monday, 20^th June 2011, some of our 6^th Form students took part in the Cycle and Picnic in the Park event at Platt Fields Park in Fallowfield, Manchester.

 

20 Sixth Form students intrepidly set out to complete their practice expedition in the Peak District on Monday 23^rd to Tuesday 24^th May 2011.

They travelled for 6 hours each day (considerably longer for some groups!) and camped overnight in Pomeroy, near Buxton.

A First Aid course was organised through the Red Cross, it took place on Friday, March 4^th, 2011.

The students that took part were a mix of Year 12 and Year 13. All of them are working towards their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh Award.

Here are some excellent Year 13 pieces of artwork which will be entered for BTEC and A level Art & Design.

 

I’ve been fortunate enough to go on two trips with Destiny now. The first was a visit to the Chancellors Hotel and Conference Centre (owned and operated by the University of Manchester) where we worked with head chef Matthew Burke.
