A high-flying group of Year 7 students had the opportunity to sample higher education by taking part in The University of Manchester Gateways Programme.

On 17^th December, eight girls from 11a/Ma1 class participated in the Year 11 Mathematics Enrichment: ‘Taking Maths Further’ at the University of Manchester. 

On Wednesday, 5^th November, a group of Year 10 students went to visit The Houses of Parliament to present their research findings from a local history study into immigration and Moss Side.

Elevator pitch: Selling our Science

Sector Drops Weeks aim to give all students an insight into the career pathways available within particular sectors such as construction or medicine. This term the team focussed on Engineering.

On Wednesday, 30^th January, Mr Montrose (Teacher of Mathematics) and Ms McCullough took a group of Year 8 students to a 4 schools Maths event at the University of Manchester.

On Tuesday, 26^th June, a group of Year 9 and Year 10 Manchester Academy students took part in the Stock Market Challenge and Investment Challenge competitions at Manchester Business School (University of Manchester).

On Wednesday, 1^st February, 20 students from 8U visited The University of Manchester along with students from William Hulme's Grammar School and The Manchester Grammar School.

Students have worked flat out to re-stage the very popular and successful 'Moss High Musical' re-kindling that touch of star quality which touched Moss Side two years ago.
