Thursday 18^th May saw a visitor from Bletchley Park in school, talking to selected students in Years 7, 8 and 9, plus the Robotics Club about the Enigma machine.

On Monday 20^th October, pupils in Miss O’Connell and Miss Russul Saib's classes visited the Guru Nanak Dev Ji Gurdwara on Monton Street in Manchester.

Well done to the Year 7 student, Chloe Napier who finished as a runner-up in Operation Treacle.

As part of Blue Peter’s ‘Grow it, Cook it, Eat it’ segment, six Year 7 students from Manchester Academy went live on national television on Thursday 13^th June 2013.

Manchester Metropolitan University (MMU) and Manchester Academy have worked with Webster Primary School on a long term Transition project.

It has been a diverse first term for Manchester Academy's Music department. KS3 pupils have engaged in a range of activities and given some superb performances and creative work.

Well done to the 9 members of the Year 7 football team who won 4 – 2 away at William Hulme's Grammar School.
