Three Schools Mathematics Project

Published on 03 February 2012

On Wednesday, 1st February, 20 students from 8U visited The University of Manchester along with students from William Hulme's Grammar School and The Manchester Grammar School.

The students were given a talk about prime numbers and algorithms (aimed at degree level) and then worked in groups to solve number problems. The students enjoyed the experience of visiting the University and meeting other students and it has given them an opportunity to think about studying Mathematics at University in the future.

The students were a credit to the school, showing excellent attitude to learning new skills and rose to the challenge of this Maths degree work. They also worked well with students from the other schools and worked collaboratively with their teams.
