Year 7 Rewards Trip to RAF Cosford

Year 7 Rewards Trip to RAF Cosford

Published on 28 March 2013

On Tuesday, 26th March, the top 40 (net behaviour points) of Manchester Academy’s Year 7 students were selected to go on a rewards trip to Royal Air Force Cosford to visit the aviation museum.

As an added addition to the visit, our students and staff were given the opportunity to visit 238 Squadron where our students were taken through the training hangers and viewed both rotary and fixed winged aircraft as trainee aircraft apprentices where being put through their paces.

The students were lucky enough to see 2 RAF Jaguars being taxied across the airfield. All in all, it was a great day and the students thoroughly enjoyed the experience.

Thank you to the Royal Air Force Cosford and 238 Squadron. Many thanks also to Mr Boyle (Year 7 Year Director) and to all who supported the event, Mr McAvoy, Ms Mullineux, and Ms Woods.
