Education Minister Stephen Morgan Visits Manchester Academy to See AI Innovation in Action

How Artificial Intellegence Is Used To Make Manchester MAGIC

Manchester Academy is proud to welcome Education Minister Stephen Morgan MP for a special visit to showcase how our school is using Artificial Intelligence to support staff and enhance student learning. The visit highlighted how AI is being used to make revision more efficient, reduce teacher workload, and create a more engaging learning environment for our students.

What is Artificial Intelligence (AI)

Artificial intelligence refers to machines, particularly computer systems, that can perform tasks that usually require human intelligence.

This includes:

  • ·        Learning
  • ·        Problem-solving
  • ·        Understanding language
  • ·        Much more…

AI systems are designed to analyse data, recognise patterns, and make decisions.

An Intelligent Discussion

During his time at the Academy, the Minister met with teachers, subject leads in technology, and a group of enthusiastic Year 10 students who demonstrated how AI is shaping their education. From personalised revision tools to smart classroom technology. The visit showed how the Academy’s aiming to use daily technology to support students and staff.

Teachers explained how AI-powered platforms are helping to streamline their workloads, allowing more time for focusing on student engagement and support.

The Minister was impressed by our outstanding Year 10 students, who shared their experiences of using AI to improve revision techniques. Students explained how AI can help them identify areas they need to work on and keep them motivated.

They asked thoughtful questions about the future of AI in education, showcasing a knowledge and curiosity about the topic.

The Future of Manchester Magic

The visit was a success and showed the ways Manchester Academy is using AI to uphold a modern, supportive learning environment. Minister Morgan expressed his admiration for the student’s interest and was impressed by the Academy’s approach.

As a school, we remain committed to exploring new technologies that help both our students and staff thrive.
