Welcome Parents, Carers, and Future Academy Students
The Academy proudly opened its doors to potential students and their families for our much-anticipated Open Evening. The atmosphere was buzzing as visitors explored the building and talked to our magic teachers!
An Eventful Open Evening
The evening began with a welcome talk from school principal, Mr Eldon. Who shared The Academy’s vision and commitment to providing a world class education.
Mr Eldon said: “It’s always exciting to welcome new faces into our school and meet the students who could be our next cohort of new Year 7s. We’re proud to showcase how our students and staff strive to make Manchester magic each day.”
Guided by our outstanding Academy students, guests enjoyed an interactive tour around the school. Each classroom hosted exciting activities, specifically planned by our magic teachers and subject leaders. Some of the many highlights included:
- · Science show
- · Cake decorating
- · Magic maths puzzles
- · Flying drones and playing retro games consoles
Many of the parents/carers were impressed by the outstanding school facilities we had to offer, such as:
- · £600,000 sports pitch and facility – built in partnership with the Premier Legue and the Manchester United Foundation
- · Fully equipped Science laboratories
- · Specialised technology rooms for catering, resistant materials, graphic technology, and ICT
- · Drama studio and Auditorium
- · Music suit with a professional Recording Studio
- · Well-equipped Library/Learning Recourse Centre

Next Steps
Applications for Year 7 places for September 2025 open July 1st 2024. The deadline for applications is 5pm Tuesday 31st October 2024.
